Here he met Anna Barnes, the daughter of Abijah and Abi Bradford Barnes. She was a direct descendant of Governor William Bradford. Abijah descended from Charles Barnes of Long
Island, known as Charles, the School Master. Anna was a kind and loving wife and mother; very sweet and gentle and strongly spiritual. When she heard of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ from the Apostle Orson Hyde, she investigated, was converted, and was baptized the 29 May 1833, only three years after the organization of the Church.

In Nauvoo, his great granddaughter, Anna Harmon preformed proxy baptisms in behalf of he and his wife listing their names only as Great Grandfather Osborn and Great Grandmother Osborn. She was also baptized for Ebenezer Mudge and Mercy Mudge with stated relationship of Great granddau and for Elizabeth Mudge, niece. Anna was also baptized for: Moses Barnes and Hebsibah Barns; Sarah and Robert Bradford and relationship to all of above was granddaughter. Also for Daniel Barnes and Anna Barnes great granddaughter.
