A will does not exist to my knowledge for Curtis and not a lot is knownabout him. Nothing is known of him his first 32 years of his life atwhich time in 1808 he married Ann Hall. I'm guessing but it is verypossible that this was not his first marriage, but I have no proof. He ismentioned again in "Stark Co. History 1881" as being a character memberof Pigeon Run Baptist Church in Tuscarawas Township in about 1810.Luckily in 1976 I literally stumbled across his grave in an abandonedgraveyard near Mt. Hope Ohio. I had found information concerning himbeing buried there while at the Ohio State Library in Columbus. Againluckly the stone had been face down in the dirt and his birth and deathdates were saved.

The 1850 US census for Jennings County, Indiana (see below) proves thatGeorge along with brother's Curtis Jr. and Benjamin returned from Iowa inthe spring of 1850. They had been out there about 10 years. Brother'sSameul, Robert, and Owen died in Iowa. Weather they all went out togetherin 1840 or so it is unknow at this time. Also weather they actually livedin Jennings County before going to Iowa is unknown, but they did own landin Jennings County as early as 1838 although the 1850 census shows atleast George was still in Ohio as his daughter, Harriet was born in Ohioin 1838.

From the Rochester Chronicle,Thursday, November 12, 1863. George Downs is mentioned as a premiumwinner at the sixth annual Fulton County Fair held in October. Also JohnDowns is mentioned. This could have been brother John Hall or son JohnDan. FULTON COUNTY EXCERPTS 1858-1864 pp 122-123. As Lenard Downs ismentioned in the Newspaper a year later, I sirmise that George and sonsLenard and John Dan Downs and possibly other family members came toFulton County together earlier in 1863 and possibably before. These threewere the only ones to make there notice in the newspapers or elsewherethat I can find.

[1645] In Orphan Court records Feb 17 1818. There is a court action of aDaniel Voshall vs. Obadiah Voshall about a bond
for $5000

Chancery Court Records 1841 list Daniel as the oldest child of Obediahdecd. and Owen the youngest and the only child that
did not reach the age of 21.

In Obediah's will dated 1796, Daniel is mentioned. He would have been 16at this time if born in 1780. His father had already
signed and witnessed his will. Then he added this paragraph, signed, andwitnessed the addition. "In addition to this my last will
and Testament be it remember that my son Daniel is to continue with hismother and brother Titus and to assist in supporting the
children until they become of age and if he refuses to comply with thiscondition he is to have five shillings only in like manner as
my son James."

Obediah died in 1796 and if the next information applies, maybe Daniel'schildren were not born at the time of his father's
death.

Deed Y 2 150 4/9/1823 Daniel and wife Rebecca sold the land he boughtfrom Hannah 2/6/1815 for $300 to Henry Downs.
The land is part of a tract of land formerly belongint to Hannah Voshellwidow of Obediah Voshall. It mentions blacksmith
tools. It does not mention that Hannah was his mother.

1823 April 9 Y2 150 Daniel and Rebecca sell tract where Daniel formallylived being part of tract formally belonging to Hannah
Widow of Obadiah, which he bought in 2/6/1815 from Henry Downs

The location of Voshell property and family gravesites is another clue inthe lineage of Daniel who married Rebecca Delaney.
While the surveys of the earliest land are ambiguous at best to anuntrained layman, it does afford us some clues. The
documents associated with Obadiah SR and JR deeds reference severalpoint's like, 'Horeshead road', 'west of Dover', and the
'Thomas Chapel'. This Thomas Chapel has many connections to the Hannah(Irons) Voshell family. The original Voshell family
farms appear to have been located just west of Thomas Chapel. The headstones of John D Voshell, Daniel Voshell, husband
of Miss Delaney of Ireland along with others of that family were recordedin the Dill Tombstone Bookl, on 23 July 1983, in a
family burial site next to Thomas Chapel. I believe that the land next toand just west of Thomas Chapel is the original site of the
Obediah SR then Obediah JR land where the tombstones are located. Thisland most likely was passed down from generation
to generation. It is reasonable to conclude that because these stonesexist on this property that they are direct descendants of
Obediah SR and Obediah JR.http://rstonesifer.com/genealogy/paf_data/d0005/g0000135.htm

Thank you for your E-mail. The George Washington Downs that marriedRebecca Conever ( I have
spelling of Cornwear and Cornear ) was not one of the five brothers thatwent to Jennings County
Indiana although he was undoubtedly with them, he would have only been10-12 years old. The
spelling on the land grants for Rebecca's father George is CONVEAR. Anyway one of the five
brothers that did go to Jennings County, Indiana was Henry Downs, he wasthe father of George W.
Henry was the third brother to receive land in Jennings County. George,March 24, 1838-
Benjamin, Henry, and Samuel all April 24, 1839- William 1840 and Robert1842. The lands were
mostly if not all in Spencer township, Jennings County and theinformation can be found at the
Vernon Indiana library in Jennings County. So if the story about the fivebrothers has a twist. First
there were six that bought land from 1838 to 1842, perhaps they got theland at different times and
moved their families at a later date together. Well I'm rattling on.
George W's father Henry is buried in Ohio along with his wife, AnnaSeabrook and a couple of their
children that died young. I have alot of information on this family goingback to Delaware in the early
1700's If this is of interest and make any sense to you at all please getback to me. What is your line
from George W.? I'm not sure I have run in to any of Henry's descendants.Hope to hear from you
soon Jim Downs

Dear Jim:

I saw a posting you made in 1998 about the Downs family line that camefrom Holmes County, Ohio to
Jennings County, Indiana, and I believe my great-great grandfather wasone of those five brothers. His
name was George Washington Downs, who married Rebecca Conever. I'mtrying to find any
information I can because all I have is some census data from 1870 and1880.

If I can help you with something in particular about the Downs familyline, please let me know.

Hi Wes, haven't heard from you for a while so here I am. Hope this e-mailfinds you well. In our correspondence of August
29, 2001 you mentioned a William DOWNS who married Sarah UNDERWOOD in1754 in Kent County, Delaware. Do you
have anymore information on this line?
I am very interested in William DOWNS who had "Mary's Choice" in 1745 and150 acres more in 1750. This William is my
Fifth-Greatgrand-father. I know about "Mary's Choice" but not familiarwith "the 150 acres". You also mentioned William had
children Hezekiah b. 1755-1774, Levin and Araminta Wilson b. 1760. I amfamiliar with the names Hezekiah and Levin as
William children but did not have the dates on Hezekiah. How did youconfirm the dates? I did not know William had a
Daughter named Araminta b. 1760. Also you mention William died in 1770and I have some of this information, but I show his
wife was named Sarah when he died as she is mention as William's widow inan indenture where she is selling land in 1770
after William died.. Do you have any information on this William havingsons Benjamin and Nehemiah?

Any information or thoughts you have would be greatly appreciate. Hope tohear from you soon. Jim

Aw the sweet mysteries of genealogy. What I am sure of is this. JehuDowns died sometime
shortly before 15 January, 1811. The administration paper that dateclearly spells out his
name "Jehu" several times. Hester Downs made her mark on theadministration paper with an
"X'. Is this his wife? I always presumed that Hester was a nick name forBetsy.

Jehu Downs was the son of Benjamin as it is clearly stated in Benjamin'swill of 1816 "Sixthly
to Elizabeth Ann Downs the daughter of my son Jehu Downs fifthly dollarsto her to her when
she attains her eighteenth year."

I do have a record of "Huit" Downs and Betsy Jester marriage but havealways thought that Huit
was misspelled for Jehu. Maybe not. As for Betsy's parents I have a lotof suspects but no proof.
There are many Jester's in Mispillion Hundred at this time in factWilliam Downs, Jehu's
grandfather sold land to Isaac Jester in 1769.

The 1800 census you mentioned Benjamin. He is Jehu's father.
Stephen Sr. family I have quite a bit of information but I can find noconnection to Benjamin
although they are the same generation, Stephen even named a son Benjamin.Stephen Jr. is
differently Stephen's son.

I do not know who Abraham and Jesse are.

Who Hugh is in Fayette Co. Pa. I have no idea but is probably not Jehu ashe died four years
later in Mispillion Hundred.

Hear is what I think. Jehu Downs married a woman named Hester althoughstill not sure he
didn't marry Betsy. They had a child Elizabeth Ann. Jehu dies in 1815 andis not an heir in his
father's will although his daughter is given fifty dollars. Why Hester isnot mentioned in her
father in laws will is another mystery. If as you say Huit died in 1889 Idoubt he married Betsy
as when he died he would have been at least 100 years old.

So who are Hugh's parents? If he was the son of Jehu why wasn't Hugh/Huitnamed in
Benjamin's will? Do you have any information that Hugh/Huit was fromDelaware? Do you have
the 1850 census? It would name Hugh's wife's name. Much work to do. Jim

Hi Jim, Yes, as far as I know Nehemiah died in Pitt Co., NC between Nov.1814 & Nov. 1819. In Nov. 1814, he deeded some land to two of his sons,Kenyon and William. In Nov. 1819, his widow Elizabeth (not believed tobe his first wife) was filing a petition of dower against the heirs ofNehemiah Downs who lived outside of NC. From census, I estimated him asbeing born before 1755 (probably not much before that since his eldestknown child was born about 1785 (again from census). The first referenceI've found to him is when he bought land in Pitt Co. in Oct. 1784.Thanks again for your help. Hopefully we can find a clue someday thatlets us know if our Nehemiah's are the same. Good to hear from you about Nehemiah. I keep wanting to research theolder generations but keep Getting inquiries about the
more recent generations.

The last reference I know of Nehemiah in Delaware is July 23, 1793. He ismentioned in a will of John NORMAN as son in
law and an heir. Undoubtable he had married John NORMAN'S daughter ( notnamed ) and she has died. He also witnessed
the will of Joseph NICHOLS December 28, 1790. Reference before thatwould be around 1770 when his father William
died. You mention that your first reference is October 1784. Althoughpossible but highly unlikely Nehemiah may have traveled
back and forth in 1790. He would not have had to be in Delaware to benamed in the will of 1793 however. So I guess what I
am saying is there is still a possibility that we are talking about thesame Nehemiah but unlikely and must have strong
information if to make the link.

Still so many pieces fit. Father died in 1770 and Nehemiah shows up in1784 in NC, names son William after his father, age is
right, death date is right, wife probably died in Delaware and youmention that Elizabeth is probably not his First wife and a lot
of people from Kent County, Delaware did migrate to NC around 1800.
==============================================
===============================Although our Nehemiah's may be the same I amnot as convinced, the dates fit as my
Nehemiah is deceased before 1816. I do know that a lot people from Kentand Sussex
Counties in Delaware migrated to Guilford NC about 1800.

Have you ever seen your Nehemiah referred to as Heziciah? I haveindentures of
William transferring land that name my Benjamin and Nehemiah as the sonsof William
which is how I connect them to my line through Benjamin's will whichnames his brother
Nehemiah. Then after 1769 William's sons are referred to as Levin andHezekiah which
is how they are named in William's will of 1770. I think they are thesame people but
possibly there are two William's. I am pretty sure that William, theirfather was married
at least twice and probably three times. It is likely that William hadsons Benjamin and
Nehemiah by one wife, Levin and Heziekiah by a second and Henry by athird. I have
never heard the mention of daughters. Aw the mysteries of genealogy

There is a Levin Downes in Maryland about the same time but am prettysure that as the
Maryland Levin was literate and my Benjamin/Levin was not they are twodifferent
people.I found Hezekiah Downs mentioneed as a witness in a will 1790 ofJoseph
Nichols in Kent County, Delaware. Also see below====== JIM DOWNSAUGUST--2003

The Nehemiah in North Carolina is well researched but I feel at thistime not be one in the same as our Nehemiah..

At this time I think that Nehemiah and Hezekiah are one in the same andthat he died by 1816 as suggested in his brother Benjamin's will. He wasalive June 12, 1793 as he is named as an heir in the will of John NORMAN.

The following is the history of Monongalia County in present day
West Virginia. It shows how the area changed a lot thru the years.

The Mother of Many Counties

1776 - Monongalia, Ohio, and Yohogania Counties were created from the
District of West Augusta of Augusta County, VA. The northern portion of
Monongalia, the northwestern portion of Ohio, and and all of Yohoganiawere
also known as Westmoreland County, PA which was also mother to several
counties. The area that was the northwest corner of
Monongalia became Washington County, PA in 1781, and Greene County, PA in
1796. The area that was the northeast corner of Monongalia became Fayette
County, PA in 1783.
The first courts of Monongalia were held on Phillips' Choice, the
plantation
of Theophilus Phillips, near New Geneva in Springhill Township, Fayette
County, PA.
1779 - The first county seat was located at Mifflintown, present-day
Woodbridgetown, near Rubles Mill in Georges Township, Fayette County, PA,
but soon after the boundary dispute between Virginia and Pennsylvania was
resolved. When they realised the county
seat was no longer in the county, it was moved to what is now Morgantown.
1784 - Harrison County was formed from Monongalia and Ohio Counties.
1787 - Randolph County was formed from Harrison County.
1798 - Wood County was formed from Harrison and Kanawha Counties.
1816 - Lewis County was formed from Harrison and Randolph Counties.
1818 - Nicholas County was formed from Greenbrier, Kanawha and Randolph
Counties.
1818 - Preston County was formed from Monongalia and Randolph Counties.
1821 - Pocahontas County was formed from Pendleton, Randolph, Greenbrier
and
Bath Counties.
1831 - Fayette County was formed from Kanawha, Greenbrier, Nicholas and
Logan Counties.
1831 - Jackson County was formed from Kanawha, Mason and Wood Counties.
1836 - Braxton County was formed from Kanawha, Lewis, Nicholas andRandolph
Counties.
1842 - Marion County was formed from Harrison and Monongalia Counties.
1843 - Barbour County was formed from Harrison, Lewis and Randolph
Counties.
1843 - Ritchie County was formed from Harrison, Lewis and Wood Counties.
1844 - Taylor County was formed from Harris

I had a few minutes to relax and typed my own name in the Gencirclessite. Saw that you had my old email address. My

I have had little time the last few years to devote to searching familyhistory. I am a daycare provider (babysitter) so I stay very
busy. I have one daughter, Stacy and a foster daughter, Lacie who arejuniors in high school. They are both very active and
when they graduate I may have some extra time to devote to my searching.I am still a working member of the Buchanan

fascinated with all the information you have. I only knew the line as
far back as Samuel, although I suspected Curtis was his father. My
branch of the family relocated to North Carolina, where I was born and

Dear Jim,
How very exciting to have someone reply to my post. Please call meBonnie. My maiden name is Downs.
Reading your info recalls the same info in my old notes. Unfortunatelythe original notes went to computer
space when my first comp. crashed and burned, and what I did have on hardcopy were just names/dates. All of
this was early on in my quest and I admit it was very sloppily done.since then I've backed up and cleaned up
my act. However I haven't had an opportunity to rebuild those originalnotes as I've gotten side tracked with
other names and family lines. Your info on the land grants and "Mary'sChoice" are the same as I recall. Most
of my info has come from the York Co., Pa. Historical Society Library.Where do you live? I show son Henry
listed on the Shrewsbury, Pa. tax list for 1783. Married to ElisabethMorris d/o Samuel Morris of York, Pa. on
Jan 3, 1761 at Christ Lutheran Ch. York, Pa. Their son Samuel b.1761-1839. m. Sarah Inslows in 1781. the
names Henry, Samuel continue to repeat down thru the years. So I feelsure it's the same line. Samuel's line
continues to be in York Co.... Pa. to this day (me + many). How are youconnected? I'd love to have copies of
you land grants, etc. Also didn't have a death date for William. SeemsI recall in the dusty webs of my mind
that William had a brother (Henry) who traveled west from Md. never to beheard from again. Also that the
brothers were from Ireland/England. While we visited friends in Irelandrecently I found the name
Downs/Downes to be in Co. Clare and also in Nothrern Ireland. who knows?

Thank you for the post and I'd enjoy communicating and sharing whatever Ican.

Stay well,
Bonnie Downs Abenshon

HALL (Robert, Phenix), Spence HALL is listed in the 1740 Tax List
Bogerternorten Hundred with Nathan HOSIER, Spence HALL is in Kent Co.,
Del. in 1742 tailor. The bible records don't give her place of birth or
marriage, but Somerset, Md. or Kent Co., Del. seem probable. The HALLS
were presbyterian. Spence & Director HALL named their children: Vaste,

I hope to purchase books on Smerset & Kent, Co. Del. if all the records

he Downs clan originated in what is now Sligo County Ireland around 300AD. The
clan made it's living fighting for pay.

There also appears to have been two families inEngland who assumed the surname of
Downes. In the XII century, these families werelocated in the counties of Cheshire and
Suffolk, and they both bore different coats ofarms. "Early Record of Downes' family by
Lt. Col. Leonard Downs, Woolwich, 1892"

The Colonial & Revoluntary Families of Penna.Vol. IV 1932 states the following:
"The family of Downes comes from a locality inEngland called "The Downes" or the
hills. The family name was originally De Dunes, also called Dounis, Dunes, Del Dunes,
Downs and Downe. History traces the family backas far as 864AD when certain of
their estates belonged to the "Ancient family ofDownes and Taxall"

Why Benjamin and his brother Nehemiah are not mentioned in William's willmay forever be a mystery. But maybe they are. Perhaps maybe Benjamin andNehemiah are nicknames for Levin and Hezeciah. Then again maybe there ismore than one William living in Mispillion Hundred, Kent County Delawarein the 1760's..

The next scenario is a little more far fetched and that is that the namesin the will Levin and Hezeciah
are synonymous with Benjamin and Nehemiah. I can see easily Hezeciah forNehamiah, but Levin
for Benjamin is quite a stretch.. But not too confusing.

This problem is of course because in a land indenture of August 18, 1768it states "Between William
Downs of Kent County on Delaware yeoman of the one part and BenjaminDowns and Nehemiah
Downs both of said county of the other part, being both the sons of thesaid William Downs." etc.
Just to make things really messy there is also a land indenture WilliamDowns selling to Henry
Downs of August 6, 1769 which states "between William Downs of Kent Co.,Delaware and Henry
Downs of Dorchester, Co. M.D. planter.....witnesseth that the saidWilliam Downs for the Love
and Good will which he hath and beareth to the said Henry Downs and forand in consideration of
the sum of five shillings " paid by Henry. Of course Henry is notmentioned in William's will either,
but if William is obviously dying and practically gives away his land Ifeel that this Henry is not a
stranger, but probably a relative and probably a son. Henry, less thantwo years latter sells the
inherited land for 60 pounds. It is also interesting to note that theland that Henry received was part
of the original land grant in as early as 1729 "Mary's Choice" whichleads me to speculate the since
Henry is getting the home place or at least a part of it he is the oldestbrother.

So what I am saying is William came to Kent County ( awe the realmystery, Where From) in the
1720's with his wife Mary and had a son Henry. Mary is never mentionedanywhere as William's
wife so this is pure speculation from the land being named Mary's Choice.Mary died possibly very
young and William remarried as early as 1740. In the second marriageBenjamin and Nehemiah
where born. I find NO record of this marriage, again pure speculation. Weknow that at the time of
William's death in 1770 he was married to a woman named Sarah. She isselling land and mentioned
as "late wife of William Downs" in a land indenture June 14, 1770. Atfirst I thought she was dead
too, but it is just poor wording as she is mentioned "Sarah Downs makeher mark" latter in the
indenture. How she got the land I don't know as she is not mentioned inWilliam's will. Perhaps she
is selling for her sons Levin and Heziciah of which little is known andmuch research needs to be
done. The same can be said for Henry. As you can see from the DD homepage a William Downs
married Sarah Underwood in 1754. Although I cannot be certain that thisis our William and Sarah,
the dates fit in that when William died his sons Levin and Heziciah wouldhave been 16 at the most
and that is the reason that Sarah is selling the land. I'm rambling.

Just an interesting note then I'll go. Many of the land indentures aresigned by Caesar Rodney, one of
the signers of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware. You mightwant to check him out
there is an interesting story about his part in the signing.

I'll still wait on the other three questions until we clear this hurdle.BTW I just received word from a
descendent of brothers, Samuel. Jim

Believe that first wife's name was Mary because of land grant in 1729"Mary's Choice". Location discribed in land grant of 1744 as being"situated at the head of Mispillion Creek." At time of death, wife'sname was Sarah. See indenture dated June 14 1770 widow of William Downs,Sarah selling land.

Took a look at your webpage and think it is just great. I am interestedin
looking at the history surrounding the times in 1729 and 1810.

I think I told you that Delaware was populated by a number of indentured
servants who had become freemen which makes me wonder if William Downsmight
have been one of them. My aunt told me many years ago that we wereScotch
Irish which would fit the profile for an indentured servant early on inour
country's history.

Thanks for the information about the webpage. Judy Smith
======================================

Williams will was written February 18 1770 and probated April 24 1770.

It just occurred to me that in William's will of 1770 it states"Hezekiah and Levin Downs" to receive lands "but if either of them shoulddie without issue that the said Lands & plantations aforesaid shalldescend to the survivor"

Then in Benjamin's will written August 23, 1816 Benjamin states "thatpart of it (land) I inherited from my Father together with the share ofmy Brother Nehemiah". It sounds to me that Benjamin received the land asa surviving sibling just as William's will provided and Nehemiah is deadby 1816.

THIS COULD MEAN THAT BENJAMIN AND LEVIN ARE THE SAME PEOPLE AS HEZEKIAHAND NEHEMIAH AND THAT NEHEMIAH HAD NO CHILDREN WHICH IS WHY WE FIND NORECORD OF THEM.
-------------------------------------------------
Alexander WHITELEY owned land adjacent to MARY'S CHOICE. Have will of hisfather (ARTHUR) living in DORCHESTER county Maryland in 1735 next toWilliam Downs. Alexander is living next to William DOWNS in 1744. CouldWilliam have come from DORCHESTER county?. Henry DOWNS, "for love andconsideration" was "planter from DORCHESTER county.
Caroline County was formed in 1774 from Dorchester.
------------------------------------------------
The indenture dated February 27, 1775 states "Levin and Hezekiah two ofthe children of William Downs" etc. Does this mean there are morechildren?

I believe that Sarah UNDERWOOD was second wife of William that had"Mary's Choice". I have an indenture dated June 14, 1770 which namesSarah as late wife of William Downs. Do you have information that thisWilliam had a wife named Rachel or do you mean Sarah.
--------------------------------------------
You obviously have the William's will dated February 18, 1770 namingHezekiah and Levin as his sons. There is also a land indenture datedAugust 18, 1768 naming Benjamin and Nehamiah as his sons. There isanother land indenture dated August 7, 1769 that William is selling(giving) to a Henry
Downs part of "Mary Choice" "for the Love and good will which He Hathand Beareth to the said Henry Downs and for and in consideration of thesum of five Shillings" (to me this is another son) All three documentswhere written in Kent County, Delaware.

IT IS INTERESTING THE NAME OF CEASAR RODNEY. HE WAS A SIGNER OF THEDECLARATION ON INDEPENDENCE FROM DELAWARE. I BELIEVE HE WROTE ALL OF THEABOVE AND HE DID SIGNED HIS NAME. HIS SIGNITURE IS THE ONLY SIGNITURE INTHE WILL. WILLIAM JUST MAKES HIS MARK. RODNEY CEASAR EVEN SIGNED THENAMES OF THE TESTORS AS THE HAND WRITTING IS ALL THE SAME. WILLIAM DOWNSWAS ILLITERATE AS WAS PROBABLY ALL THE TESTORS

Jim,

Finally got into the emailing pastime. I saw an AIS Census Index:Pre-1790
advertised on the internet recently and thought I should see if anyoneelse
has taken a look at it before ordering. I am such a novice at all ofthis I
hardly know where to begin.

WAnted to let you know that Mother died August 5, 2001 here in Seymourand
was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Jennings County. She slowly
deteriorated the last two months and her quality of life was definitelygone.
We all remember her wonderful sense of humor and miss her terribly.

Hope this finds you and Cheryl well. Talk to you later,

Wow, was I surprised to learn of another Horace Downs from JenningsCounty.

My grandfather, Horace Greely Downs, was born in 1854 probably in Ohio.He
came to Jennings County Indiana as a small child with his parents,William
and Elizabeth Shidler Downs.. Horace Greely married Caroline Speckner in
Jennings County and they had a son named Horace Greely Downs, "UncleJack" to
me, born in 1898. Their son never had any children and died in Coloradoin
1969. My great grandfather was an avid reader and named his son afterthe
famous journalist, Horace Greely.

Hope this helps clear up our family connection. Sincerely, Judy Smith Parents: Curtis DOWNS and Ann HALL.

Grace DOWRISH died in 1604 in England. She was buried about 1604 in England. I exchange data with people who have a interlocking marriage
into any surnames that interlocks into any of the branches
of my families.I started when I was 10 years old now 68years.

I am sharing my data in the interest of collaborative research.
I do this to help people to find there lineages and to fill
the pedigree charts.

I have not personally researched all families listed; dates
and information are subject to verification. Not responsible
for typographical errors misplaced citations. Missing
sources/references are because of my learning curve, not my
intention. You are encouraged to seek further documention
for your own confirmation.Further I have no control what
other people include about their families in any of the
data that they exchange.

If there are no dates about the living, then the computers
can not determine if the person is alive or deceased.
The sites set the living anywhere from 75 to 100 years
depending on the laws of the countries that they are in.

When I exchange with lineages the living are sometime shown
depending on who you are exchanging with, but my
request is that,if you update any of my data to the
internet, you also set the do not show the living, before
you update to the internet.

Also place in the source your contact email
address, and the lineage, so people can contact you
reqarding your update.

I have no claim to owning the data, except that which is
my immediate lineage, and even that is worked on by many
members of my family lineages. It is only as good as what
people put into it,that exchange with me. So look
in the notes of the genealogy for origin, if they put it
there,or the source.

If you are going to correct, update or put new branches on the
lineage your are inquirying about, please do not add from what
I have sent you,(This just duplicates how many more people
I have to find in the duplicates and merge them, edit your
notes to ensure that there is nothing there that you do not
want published.

Also do not submit information on copyrights that invades the
privacy of others especially for a relative that has not given
you permission to publish same.

Remember nothing is carved in stone except time.

The best way for me to describe the relationship, is for
example if you have 6,000 people in your data base
that are connected via interlocking marriages, and
you find that you have a marriage that is interlocked into
one of my people in my data base, then they are related
via interlocking marriages, does not matter how distant.
The difference here is that the interlocking into my data
base would link to over 631,749 people via interlocking
marriages.

My hobby is working on interlocking marriages,to any
family surname that is in my data, and I exchange with
people to find them, and to assist them in finding lineage
that link into their families. Parents: Thomas DOWRISH and Ann FARRINGDON.
