His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Rogers. He resided in Rock Island from 1905 to about 1947, when he went to Killeen, TX for 10 years before moving to Coal Valley. He worked as a foreman of carpenter crews for the Henry Horst Co. and the C.J. Larkin Co and helped in building the Rock Island YMCA, the Rock Island Bank and Trust Co. building, St. Joseph's school, and other Quad-City structures. Surviving are 3 daughters: Mrs. Worker, Mrs. Alvin Clemann of Milledgeville, GA, and Mrs. Joseph L.
