proven to be close to accurate, however his claim of Robert Moulderbeing
the earliest known ancestor of this family has caused some doubt.
Therefore, the record of Robert as a part of this family record wasnot
included. Unless proven to be accurate, the following record, down to
Henry of 1695, is for reference only.

read other articles you have written on Camden County and I don'trecall
you ever having mentioned that Camden County was once part of Pulaski

Dear Uncle
We received yours of last fall and it ought long since to have been
answered but my Father has been negligent I have therefore concludedto
write myself but am very barren of information. My family is well butI
had a sore spell of the billious fever last spring. We have 2children,
both Sons, Henry Kymes and Jacob Nelson. Crops are not as good thisyear
as they have been for several years past particularly corn, wheatcrops
were very good. My father & family are well.Jacob is not married, but
Mahala is and has one child. Her husband's name is Jacob Dixon. Moneyis
extremly scarce with us. Corn generally sells at one dollar pr barrel.
Wheat 37 1/2 cents pr bushel. Salt 37 1/2 Cents pr bushel by thebarrel.
Pork will sell this season at $2. pr hundred or upwards. Beef at about
the same. Horses and cattle sells low for cash. Land from theGovernment
$1.25 pr acre.
As I have never written to you respecting religion it may not be amissto
say something upon that subject. Last Christmas was two years and I
joined a religious denomination called by the world and other
denominations "New Lights" but they call themselves Christian Church.
These people believe that all mankind fell in Adam. but do not believe
that any one will be punished in eternity for Adam's sin. They believe
that Jesus Christ tasted death for every man. That he came toreconcile
sinners to God. that sinners are justified by faith to Christ Jesus. That
sinners are converted to God by the operation of the holy spirit ofGod.
That Jesus Christ is a son of God. that he is now on the throne of his
father David and that he shall reign over the house of Isreal forever.
That the time called millennium will be a personal reign of Christ onthe
earth for one thousand years. and that there will be one thousandyears
between the resurrection of the just and the unjust. These peoplediscard
all Idea's of human creeds, books of disciplin or confessions offaith.
They are numerous in this Country. Sister Betsy & Susan both profess
religion. Susan belongs to a denomination called United Brethren ornew
Methodist. Their doctrine is the same as the methodist but their
discipline is different. I shall conclude by wishing you all kind of
happiness in time & eternity. I subscribe my self your affectionate
